The lovely Carlton Hotel is located in a prime position, directly opposite Wellington Pier. The high ceilings, huge windows and a bright, airy feel make this hotel the perfect place for a relaxing break by the sea. There’s plenty to explore nearby, such as the Norfolk Broads, the city of Norwich and the Grade II listed Somerleyton Hall, and the Carlton offers a comfortable stay after a busy day enjoying the local attractions. 5 Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Travel to Your Hotel

    Make your own way to your hotel, where you will enjoy a comfortable four-night stay.

    Car Parking: There are no car parking facilities on site, however there is public paid car parking within a short distance of the hotel.

    Settle into the hotel with a mulled wine to get you into the Christmas spirit.

    Included meals: Dinner

  • Days 2 to 4: Great Yarmouth

    Spend three days independently exploring the area in and around Great Yarmouth.

    Great Yarmouth is an ever-popular seaside resort on the Norfolk coast, where you’ll find golden beaches, traditional fish & chip shops and the attraction-packed Marine Parade – a genuine Great British seaside experience! It is also home to welcoming pubs, inviting restaurants and colourful floral gardens, truly offering something for everyone!

    There’s plenty to explore nearby, such as the Norfolk Broads, the city of Norwich and the Grade II listed Somerleyton Hall.

    Each afternoon there will be a cream tea at the hotel, and on Christmas Day there will be a traditional Christmas Lunch.

  • Day 5: Return Home

    After breakfast, and full of festive cheer, check out of your hotel and make your own way home.

The Carlton Hotel is right on the town’s seafront with the Sea Life Centre and Wellington Pier just across the road. Walk either way along Marine Parade to discover fantastic attractions and numerous cafes and bars serving great food and refreshing drinks. Venturing a little further from the hotel you can discover the beauty of the Norfolk Broads by taking the train to Berney Arms where you can visit the historic Windmill and marshes that the place is famous for. Historic Norwich is also easily accessible from here for an easy day trip, or for something a little closer Travel north along the coast to the quieter beach at Caister-on-Sea.
