Christmas on the Isle of Wight

5 Day Itinerary

• Day 1:

  Local departure by coach, then via ferry on to Isle of Wight and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a mulled wine with a mince pie on arrival to get us into the Christmas spirit.

• Day 2: Christmas Eve

  Today we’ll explore the ‘diamond isle’ on a scenic tour. We’ll call at Alum Bay, famous for its coloured sands, and the nearby magnificent chalks Needles, the remains of a ridge which once joined the island the mainland. We also visit pretty Yarmouth, a bustling town with a natural harbour. We also visit Cowes, filled with a range of quaint cafes, shop and galleries and the main square is overlooked by a stunning 17th century church. Stroll down Yarmouth Pier and enjoy the stunning view.

• Day 3: Christmas Day at leisure

  Merry Christmas! Relax in Sandown, open some presents, tuck into a traditional turkey dinner, and enjoy the festive atmosphere in the hotel with your fellow travellers.

• Day 4: Boxing Day in Ryde

  This morning we take a trip to Ryde, once much loved by Queen Victoria when she used to holiday on the island with Victorian architecture still around the town. At the heart of the town is a fantastic range of independent and eclectic shops, including a year-round Christmas store! We return to the hotel for a festive cream tea.
