9 Day Itinerary

• Day 1:

  Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then travel by Express Coach overnight to Croatia.

• Day 2: Arrive in Tar

  We arrive in Tar. Enjoy the resort facilities, relax by the pool or take a stroll.

• Day 3: Porec

  Enjoy an included excursion to the nearby town of Porec, where you can enjoy a stroll along the two main bays, known as the Green and Blue Lagoons. See the old centre, streets and squares, as well as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Basilica.

• Day 4: Motovun

  Take in the wonderful views as we travel to the heart of ‘Green Istria’ to visit picture-postcard Motovun. This idyllic hilltop town is a delight to explore, and visitors are enchanted by the quaint cobbled streets and squares.

  Relax and admire the town’s beautiful buildings and monuments, such as the medieval town walls and the Gothic bell tower, or enjoy a drink and soak up the atmosphere of a bygone era.

• Day 5: Opatija

  Our optional excursion takes us to lovely Opatija, nestled along the banks of the Adriatic Sea. Soak up the beautiful architecture, seafront promenade and pretty parks.

• Day 6: Umag and Portoroz

  Enjoy an optional excursion today, as we make our way to two different countries to explore Umag in Croatia and Portoroz in Slovenia.

  Umag is Croatia’s most westerly city, and we’ll discover stunning coastal scenery here. Explore the town’s 10th-century walls and admire the 16th-century Church of St Roche.

  Continuing to Slovenia, we’ll visit Portoroz, famous for its pristine beaches. Admire the beautiful coastal scenery, visit one of the beach-side bars or cafes, or enjoy one of the town’s three casinos!

• Day 7: Rovinj and Lim Fjord

  Discover the west side of the Istrian Peninsula as we visit charming Rovinj, with its pretty pastel-coloured houses clustered along the winding streets. The old town itself is rich with a combination of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture.

  We will head on to see the Lim Fjord, where we enjoy a short boat ride.
