Today we’ll see some wonderful scenery around the Tyrol. After breakfast, we visit the show cheese dairy in Fügen. The life of the dairy farmers, whose farms are high up in the mountains, is still physically hard and time-consuming work. After an interesting tour through the dairy, you can enjoy the fresh products and of course buy them in the farm shop to take home as souvenirs. We then head to Innsbruck, where the city is filled with interesting monuments, such as the Triumphal Arch and the city’s Old Town. During our optional guided tour, you will enjoy some of the highlights, including the iconic Golden Roof. Of course there will also be plenty of time for a leisurely stroll through the Christmas Market. The market stalls are a treasure trove for Christmas tree decorations, handicrafts, woollen goods and souvenirs. From there, we’ll journey to the charming town of Rattenberg, where the Rat Mountain forms a backdrop to the town. Stroll along the quaint main street, where we’ll find numerous shops selling the crystal glass the town is famous for.

Our included excursion takes us to Rattenberg. With just 400 inhabitants, Rattenberg is Austria’s smallest historical town. The medieval pedestrian zone is dominated by the unique displays of glass craft in the numerous shops. Back at your hotel you may enjoy some Christmas cookies and mulled wine.

  • Christmas Day: Kufstein

Deck the halls - Merry Christmas to you all! Today you will see “Fohlenhof Ebbs”, the oldest Haflinger stud farm of the world. The “Haflinger horse” has become a Tyrolean cultural treasure and an ambassador for the country. The stud farm offers riding halls, stables, a dressage area and a stadium, the so-called “Fohlenhof Arena”, with more than 3.500 seats. After our traditional roast-turkey lunch, you will have a chance to explore the fortress of Kufstein. During your individual tour of the fortress, you will explore the impressive open area with its fortifications typical for fortresses, including, among others, the Elisabeth battery with its cannons or the “Schlossrondell”. You can also take a look into the approx. 60 meters deep well and uncover the secret of the underground rock path. Dinner tonight is served with a charming Tyrolean touch.
