Italian Dolomites Christmas Markets
The Dolomites feature some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in Italy, and this stunning mountain range in the northern Italian Alps will serve as the backdrop to our excellent holiday. We’ll discover a number of fantastic Christmas markets, travelling to Bressanone, Bolzano and Merano to enjoy the festive stalls. With its mixture of vertical walls, sheer cliffs and high density of narrow, deep and long valleys, the Dolomites mountain range is absolutely out of this world. We can admire the stunning scenery here to our hearts’ content during our holiday, as well as taking in splendid Italian Christmas markets.

7 Day Itinerary

Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.

Through Germany and Austria and into Italy to our resort for four nights.

Day 3: Merano Markets
We’ll have a wonderful day taking in the superb festive sights in Merano located in South Tyrol at the entrance to the Passeier Valley. The Merano Christmas Market comes complete with amazing decorations that feature bright lights and fully decorated Christmas trees, and we’ll be able to buy all sorts of treats while we’re there.
With local delicacies and hand-crafted gifts to choose from, this Christmas market is sure to astound us. Indulge in some of the delicious festive treats, inhale the aromas of cinnamon and winter spices and buy hand-crafted gifts souvenirs of your stay, or treat family and friends at home.

Day 4: Bressanone and Bolzano Markets
Christmas is a time for traditions, family celebration and… markets! Like every year, as Christmas nears, many cities and villages in Trentino transform into charming winter wonderlands, illuminated with festive lights and adorned with wonderful decorations.
The first Christmas market we’ll visit will be in Bressanone, where we’ll find a picturesque market nestled around the local cathedral and surrounded by the town’s historical buildings.
Take in the tempting scents, wonderful sights and exciting atmosphere, before we make our way on to Bolzano, the famous home town of Otzi the Iceman. In Bolzano, we can explore the festive market, situated in amongst the town’s beautiful Gothic and Romanesque architecture.

Day 5: Grand Dolomites
The Dolomites feature an incredible variety of diverse landscapes, from lush valleys to towering peaks, as well as breath-taking panoramas at every turn.
These beautiful mountains offer endless opportunities for exploration on our coach tour, as we take in the splendid scenery here and stop for endless photo opportunities!

You will stay for four nights at the 3-star Lady Maria Hotel in Fondo. The hotel offers an excellent base to explore this beautiful destination. The hotel offers comfortable guest rooms, excellent food and a fantastic atmosphere that guests are sure to enjoy.
Overnight stays in Belgium will be in city-style hotels.

Lady Maria
The Lady Maria is the sister hotel to the Panorama, owned by the Bonvicin family. Situated in the centre of the little town of Fondo, this 3 star establishment has 43 bedrooms equipped with en-suite facilities, telephone, television, hairdryer and safe. More Austrian in style than Italian, the hotel reflects the link this part of Italy has with its neighbours. The hotel has a bar, tavern, television and reading rooms and, last but not least, the restaurant, which is renowned, not only for the quality but also the quantity of food served and where second helpings are actively encouraged!
