4 Day Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Local departure by coach, then on to Eastbourne and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a Buck’s Fizz on arrival to get us in the spirit to celebrate the New Year!

  • Day 2: New Year’s Eve in Brighton

    Today we visit Brighton, a popular seaside resort offering a wonderful mix of Regency heritage and specialist shops. It is famous for its unusual Royal Pavillion, which was built by King George IV in a beautiful Indian and Oriental style. Brighton is also home to one of Britain’s oldest cinemas, the Duke of York’s Picture House, and the Brighton Dome concert hall which was the location of the Eurovision song contest where ABBA won with ‘Waterloo’ in 1974. Its cosmopolitan nature attracts all kinds of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants - perfect to do a little shopping in the post-Christmas sales or to simply enjoy the coastal views across the pebbled beach! We return to the hotel with time to get ready ahead of tonight’s celebrations. Enjoy a fabulous 5 course New Year’s Eve Dinner with drinks reception and count down for midnight!

    Formerly a Bay Hotel, at the Majestic Hotel you will stay right on the main street along Eastbourne’s Royal Parade, close to Redoubt Fort and the world-famous Carpet Gardens. Eastbourne has been a favourite destination on the south coast for many years and the town has recently seen a revival in some of its most famous attractions. The hotel is within a short walk of Eastbourne Pier, which was recently renovated after a devastating fire in 2014. The pier has been home to Victorian Tea Rooms and the Camera Obscura for more than 100 years. As well as the relaxing lounge and open-fronted bar area giving great views of the seafront, the hotel also has a beautiful sun terrace - the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.
