Ostend & Belgian Christmas Markets

5 Day Itinerary

• Day 1:

  Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then to Ostend for four nights.

  Included meals: Dinner

• Day 2: Lille

  We’ll begin our break with an exciting day out to nearby Lille in Northern France, where we’ll find a magical winter wonderland, complete with beautiful decorations and over 80 wooden chalet-style stalls to peruse. Father Christmas may even be there!

  Traditionally held at Place Rihour it is adourned with decorations, colourful lights and market stalls. In the main square a huge ferris wheel is erected giving visitors a chance to view Lille in all it's festive glory.

  This historical city comes to life at this time of year, and we’ll be able to buy Christmas presents and treat ourselves to some wonderful souvenirs.

• Day 3: Brussels

  This morning we will have free time in Ostend to explore all the town has to offer. Later in the day, we head to Brussels, where we’ll find one of Belgium’s most spectacular Christmas markets.

  There will be hundreds of stalls to explore, each selling a range of tasty treats and handcrafted items. Don’t forget to indulge in some mulled wine!

• Day 4: Bruges

  Today we head to beautiful Bruges, famous for its medieval architecture, where we’ll get to spend time at the pretty Christmas market.

  Enjoy some Christmas shopping at the fantastic Bruges Christmas Market, with its fairy-tale winter chalets, sparkling lights and festive decor making it a charming option. We’ll be able to buy everything from traditional toys for children to handmade jewellery and delicious chocolate treats, and there will also be an assortment of hot beverages to warm ourselves with.
