ABOUT THE TOUR
Be captivated by the Lake District from our base in Windermere, the town which spreads down the hillside to join the village of Bowness on the shores of Lake Windermere. We explore this region by cruise, rail and coach to see as much of the stunning scenery as possible.
TOUR INCLUDES
Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Windermere Hotel, Windermere for four nights.

Day 2: Lakes tour with Railway and Cruise
Excursion travelling to the south of Lake Windermere where we join the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway and journey through the Leven Valley.
We then enjoy a cruise on the lake to pretty Bowness where we have some free time to explore.

Day 3: At leisure or Kendal
Relax in Windermere, or join our optional excursion to the market town of Kendal, home to the famous mint cake!

Day 4: Keswick and Grasmere
Visit the market town of Keswick, on the shores of beautiful Derwentwater where the main square is flanked by independent shops, quaint cafes and art galleries.
We also call at pretty Grasmere, in the very heart of the Lake District, home to the tiny Sarah Nelson’s Grasmere Gingerbread Shop.
