Railway Journeys of the Isle of Man

5 Day Itinerary

• Day 1:

  Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then we board the ferry to the Isle of Man, and on to our hotel in Douglas or Ramsey for four nights.

  Included meals: Dinner

• Day 2: Manx Electric and Mountain Railways

  We enjoy a journey on the Manx Electric Railway, still operating with Victorian and Edwardian rolling stock.

  We disembark at Laxey, then join the Snaefell Mountain Railway and journey to the summit, before continuing on our trip to Ramsey (from Douglas hotel) or Douglas (from Ramsey hotel).

• Day 3: Day at leisure or Peel

  Relax in your resort with a day at leisure. Enjoy the hotel’s facilities, or join our optional excursion to Peel, which has connections with the island’s rich Celtic, Viking, and maritime past.

• Day 4: Isle of Man Steam Railway and South Coast

  Today we join the Isle of Man Steam Railway to pretty Port Erin, where we explore the Port Erin Steam Museum.

  Then we go on to enjoy the views of Cregneash before returning through Port St. Mary and Castletown.
