ABOUT THE TOUR
Christmas comes early on a Turkey & Tinsel break! Enjoy the festive season twice this year with mulled wine on arrival, Christmas dinner with a complimentary drink, and a festive cream tea one day. Get into the festive spirit in Scarborough, on the glorious Yorkshire coastline, with its bustling harbour, ancient castle and stunning cliff-top views.
TOUR INCLUDES
Day 1:
Local departure by coach, then on to Scarborough and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a tea, coffee or mulled wine with a festive treat on arrival to get us into the spirit of the season.

Day 2: York
Today we visit beautiful and historic York. Uncover some of the city’s Viking past at the Jorvik Viking Centre, discover 300 years of railway history at the National Railway Museum, or learn more about York’s sweet history at the Chocolate Story. Don’t miss the unforgettable York Minster, one of the largest cathedrals in Northern Europe and a superb example of beautiful, Gothic architecture. Browse York’s many shops, from high street favourites to quirky and independent boutiques, along with excellent cafes, pubs and restaurants, and not forgetting the unusual Shambles, with its over-hanging timber-framed houses and traditional shopfronts.
At this time of year, York is home to St Nicholas Fair, one of the best Christmas Markets in the county, boasting traders from across the country selling the traditional festive foods and hand-crafted gifts.
We return back to the hotel in time for our 'Christmas Dinner' complete with a complimentary glass of wine.

Day 3: Day at leisure or North York Moors
Relax in Scarborough or join our optional excursion with a scenic drive through the beautiful North York Moors. Dotted through the Moors are bustling market towns and picturesque villages and we visit some of the prettiest, such as Hutton Le Hole, home to the Ryedale Folk Museum and free-roaming moorland sheep, and Goathland, made famous from Heartbeat.

Day 4: Whitby
This morning we take a trip along the coast to nearby Whitby. Whitby has connections with Bram Stoker’s Dracula and combined with the Abbey ruins, has long embraced the Gothic. In contrast, its colourful harbour and pier are every bit the classical seaside town with traditional holiday attractions. We return to the hotel for a festive cream tea.

Day 5:
We depart the hotel this morning full of festive cheer and return home.
