York Minster’s impressive Gothic architecture dominates the city as one of the largest cathedrals in Northern Europe, and The Shambles are always worth a visit, with its over-hanging timber-framed houses and traditional shopfronts. Browse York’s many shops, from high street favourites to quirky and independent boutiques, along with excellent cafes, pubs and restaurants.
At this time of year, York is home to St Nicholas Fair, one of the best Christmas Markets in the county, boasting traders from across the country selling the traditional festive foods and hand-crafted gifts.
We return back to the hotel in time for our 'Christmas Dinner' complete with a complimentary glass of wine.
Please note: Christmas market dates are subject to confirmation.
