ABOUT THE TOUR
As one of Britain’s oldest resorts, Weymouth knows how to please a holidaymaker and was first made popular by George III. Today there is a soft, sandy beach, a historic harbour with old pubs and cottages, and plenty of shops and attractions.
TOUR INCLUDES
Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Russell Hotel, Weymouth for four nights.

Day 2: Isle of Purbeck and Swanage
Today we will visit the Isle of Purbeck, passing via pretty Lulworth Cove and through quaint Corfe Castle to reach seaside Swanage.
Here there’s a lovely, sandy beach and lots of attractions, such as the Swanage Museum which tells the story of the area from the Jurassic period to WWII.

Day 3: Day at Leisure or Bridport and West Bay
Today is the perfect chance to explore Weymouth at leisure, or if you’d rather, join our optional excursion to bustling Bridport and West Bay.
This harbour village is renowned for fossil hunting and more recently featured in the popular TV drama Broadchurch.

Day 4: Lawrence of Arabia Country
Journey through some of the local villages, places of interest and spectacular scenery associated with Lawrence of Arabia. He spent his final years in Dorset and lies at Moreton cemetery and was a controversial and enigmatic hero of the First World War.

Return home.

Day 2: Swanage Steam Railway, Cruise & Poole
Enjoy a relaxing cruise around the eastern tip of the Jurassic Coast, with live commentary as we sail into the Victorian seaside town of Swanage. We continue to join the Swanage Steam Railway, running beneath the ruins of Corfe Castle and also spend some free time in delightful Poole.

Day 3: Day at leisure or Dorchester
Today is the perfect chance to explore Weymouth at leisure, or if you’d rather, join our optional excursion to historic Dorchester.
Dorset's county town, there is much to discover here in the historic streets.

You will stay for four nights at the 3-star Russell Hotel in Weymouth.
Refurbished in 2017, the 3-star Russell Hotel is situated on the seafront esplanade of Weymouth. Following the refurbishment, the hotel added a seafront coffee shop and lounge area for guests to enjoy the view.
